Recently, there was a short tweet from Atari about the remake of a classic, and a world wide launch coming soon! For fans of the Atari 2600 and arcade games, "Night Driver" is certainly a classic, and Atari is planning to release a remake for Android as well as iOS devices.
Last year, the Atari Flashback 8 Gold was released with the original 2600 version of Night Driver included. According to the tweet on the official Night Driver twitter page @NightDriverGo, the game is coming back and better than ever with multiple game modes, in which you can "Build your ride and own the road!". The tweet continues by announcing that they are currently live in Canada. "Speed across exotic locales & unleash turbo-charged power! We are LIVE in Canada!"
This is great news, and backs up some recent talk of Atari's plans to release new updated versions from their expansive gaming collection. With some of the most recognizable game franchises, it looks like the future is looking good for Atari fans.
