Enter Evercade, A brand new handheld console with unique multi-game retro cartridges from leading game publishers and console platforms to be released this year. With publishers already on board, including three that will be released this month, Evercade already has confirmed support for games to be released for the console. Unlike other retro gaming consoles that flood the console with such a high number of games that are fillers, Evercade has chosen quality over quantity by working with publishers to bring only the best games to their console. From our first look at the console, the Evercade team did not stop at game selection when it comes to quality. The system looks amazing, and we can't wait to get our hands on it for review.
"A BRAND NEW HANDHELD CONSOLE WITH UNIQUE MULTI-GAME RETRO CARTRIDGES FROM LEADING GAMES PUBLISHERS AND CONSOLE PLATFORMS"
With the Evercade handheld console, no internet is required or available for the system. Everything gamer's need is either on the system or cartridges they purchase for the console. In a world of online gaming, there is a place for multiplayer games over WiFi, but when it comes to the classics, and single player games, it's best to be able to plug in a cartridge, turn on the system, and play with no updates, disconnects, etc.
The Evercade will have games available from the most popular 8bit and 16 bit consoles, and the first confirmed publisher officially announced is Atari. Once again, the iconic brand has come forth as a pioneer in a new concept. This time to bring back the era of cartridge based gaming. The first multi-game cartridge announced for the Evercade will include twenty classic Atari 2600 and Atari 7800 games. One of the first confirmed games that Evercade has announced from the collection is Ninja Golf for the Atari 7800. This classic Atari game is a highly sought after game by collectors and usually has a heavy price tag attached to it, making it unrealistic to own for many gamer's, which makes this a great game to include, and announce as the first confirmed game from the collection. The other Atari 7800 games included are Alien Brigade, Food Fight, and Motor Psycho. The Atari 2600 games included in the collection are some of Atari's most iconic and popular games from the 2600 era.
