Atari Flashback X: A Classic Brought Back

Many people credit Nintendo for the mini game hype, but the first Atari Flashback console was released in 2004, well before Nintendo released the miniature version of the popular Nintendo Entertainment System. What started as a miniature version of the Atari 7800, has since been released as miniature Atari 2600 consoles, each year adding more features and design changes. Last year's model included an SD card slot that had previously only been included in the Atari Flashback portable, which was a feature many fans had been waiting for.

Throughout the model releases, the look of the console has for the most part stayed the same. As in the Atari Flashback 9, save and resume game functionality is also included in this years console, as well as the ability to rewind a game in progress to recover from a play misstep. Two wired joysticks are included for one or two player action. From the looks of the unit, this is the true Atari 2600 mini in a line of consoles that started well before any other mini console hit the market.

For gamer's that purchase the Atari Flashback X as well as the Legends Ultimate Arcade Machine, you will be able to connect the Atari Flashback X to the Legends Machine to utilize the monitor and controls of the cabinet.
